It is highly advised that students who wish to apply for another program after the completion of their initial studies apply for a study permit while they are still in Canada. If you leave Canada you will be required to return to your country and apply again to the Canadian Visa office closest to you. This process can be lengthy, and there is a higher possibility of refusal than if you completed the process while still in Canada.
