Hello,
My PRC has expired, I’ve since divorced, taken my maiden name back in court, and now have remarried. I would like to keep my maiden name and new married name. I have all documents to validate everything if needed. Is it better for me to file on line and bring documents with me or mail everything together?

when renewing a green card, do they take away old one. or they just punched a hole on it and return to us.

at what step they will do so? based the post. it looks like they do not take away the old one?

anyone have recently just went through whole process

Hello Eve,

Green cards can be renewed within 6 months of their expiration date. So in your case, you can file form I-90 right now!

1. Hello,

I filed online application I-90 for renewal of Green card, however I did not receive any automatic email generated by USCIS. I do have the online confirmation. How long does it take to receive this email?
Regarding the supporting evidences that need to be mailed, should I just mail the copy of Green card and the copy of passport with the immigration visa? Some of the posts above mention that there is no requirement to mail any document, but carry it for Biometrics appointment. Is that true?

I would appreciate if someone who has recently filed I-90 can answer the above.

hello i renew my greencard online and i want to know…do i still have to send a copy of my expiring greencard OR should i wait for USCIS to ask me to mail it??? because some people did’nt send a copy and still got their new card. i’m confused.
